Investing in Your Future

The cost of education can be intimidating, but it’s one of the smartest investments you can make on the path to a more prosperous and fulfilling future. At CIAT, we’re here to help recommend a financial aid solution that's right for you - including scholarships, federal aid, private loans, military benefits.

Federal Aid

You can also seek federal aid in the forms of the Pell Grant Program, Stafford and PLUS loans. These financial aid packages are a common way to pay for your educational expenses. The Pell Grant Program, unlike a loan, offers aid you don’t have to pay back should you qualify. Stafford and PLUS loans are also widely-used options with basic eligibility requirements and offer an array of interest rates and repayment plans.

Private Loans

When scholarships and financial aid aren’t enough, you also have the option of taking out a private loan. CIAT has partnered with Sallie Mae to extend private loans and college planning resources to help make your educational investment manageable and affordable. With competitive, low interest rates and deferred payments until after graduation, there's no need to hold off on starting your education and taking the next steps to build your new career.

Applying for FAFSA - Grants & Loans

1.
Apply

Let’s get started! In order to establish your eligibility for financial assistance, you must first complete the initial Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). When you’re filling out the form, use our CIAT school code 042598 and have additional financial documents, such as your tax returns and pay stubs, ready.

2.
Processing

After submitting your FAFSA, the US Department of Education generates a Student Aid Report (SAR) that calculates your financial need and determines your Expected Family Contribution (EFC). CIAT will receive a your application and begin processing how much financial aid, in the form of grants and loans, we can award you.

3.
Award

Last, but not least: your financial award. Once we determine you qualify for financial assistance, you must review and sign your Master Promissory Note (MPN), a legal document in which you promise to repay your loans, with interest and fees, to the US Department of Education. Please read it carefully!
